Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: April 2026
Purpose
This policy sets out the rules for using EternalQR. Because our QR codes can redirect anyone who scans them to any URL, we take misuse seriously. Violations may result in immediate link deactivation or account termination.
Prohibited Content
You must not use EternalQR to redirect to content that:
- Contains or distributes malware, viruses, ransomware, or other harmful software.
- Is designed to phish, scam, or fraudulently obtain personal information or credentials.
- Contains child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or exploits minors in any way.
- Promotes terrorism, violence, or incites hatred against individuals or groups.
- Infringes on the intellectual property rights of others (copyright, trademark, etc.).
- Violates applicable laws or regulations in any jurisdiction.
- Contains obscene material distributed without appropriate consent or age verification.
- Contains logos (uploaded as center images on your QR codes) that infringe copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights you do not own; or logos depicting illegal, defamatory, or hateful imagery.
Prohibited Activities
You must not:
- Create redirect loops (QR code A redirects to QR code B which redirects back to A).
- Build link farms or use the Service to artificially inflate traffic to any website.
- Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to create links in bulk without prior authorisation.
- Impersonate another person, brand, company, or organisation through your QR codes or link titles.
- Distribute QR codes that deliberately mislead people about where they will be redirected.
- Attempt to overload, disrupt, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without written permission.
- Circumvent rate limits, access controls, or other protective measures.
QR Code Responsibility
You are responsible for the destinations your QR codes point to (even after changing the URL) and for any logo images you upload to the Service. If a QR code you created redirects to harmful content – or carries an uploaded logo that violates the Prohibited Content rules above – your account may be suspended, whether the violation was caused by you or by someone who gained access to your account.
Enforcement
If we determine that you have violated this policy, we may take one or more of the following actions without prior notice:
- Deactivate the offending link(s) so they no longer redirect.
- Suspend your account temporarily while we investigate.
- Delete your account and all associated data permanently.
- Report illegal activity to the appropriate law enforcement authorities.
Purchasing a paid plan does not exempt you from this policy. Accounts terminated for violations lose access immediately, and all associated QR codes stop redirecting. See our Terms of Service for details.
Reporting Abuse
If you encounter a QR code created through EternalQR that redirects to harmful or illegal content, please report it to legal@eternalqr.app. Include the QR code URL or the short link if possible. We will investigate and take action promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
